Newmarket Fire & Rescue is
seeking local residence who wish to become volunteer firefighters and/or emergency medical
technicians.

Requirements
Getting started with us is easy, we require...
- At least 18 years of age
-
A resident of Newmarket
or one of it's bordering towns, if you are a UNH student see
below
for our membership requirements for UNH students - No previous training or experience required for new members
- Completed application which includes full criminal background check (usually takes 4-6 weeks to complete)
- Completion of basic orientation training
- Completion of Firefighter I or New Hampshire EMT-Basic within 12 months of membership
- Active participation in our training program
- Regular attendance at monthly meetings and occasional special events and functions

Applying for Membership
You may download and print our
application (you will need
Adobe Acrobat Reader to view) or stop by the Communications Center on Exeter Street to pick up a
copy.
An application may also be picked up at the station on Young Lane
provided someone is there. Once you have filled it out it can be returned to
either location. Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted to
set up an interview.

- At least 18 years of age
- Proof of a valid state Firefighter or EMS certification (does not have to be NH), or ability to put yourself through NH Fire or EMS certification course.
- Completed application which includes full criminal background check (usually takes 4-6 weeks to complete)
- Completion of basic orientation training
- Completion of Firefighter I or EMT within 12 months of membership if not certified in another state.
- Active participation in our training program
- Regular attendance at monthly meetings and occasional special events and functions
