Newmarket
is part of Rockingham County, located in the southeast corner of New
Hampshire. We are a volunteer department consisting of about 45 members
manning two engines, a pumper/tanker, a forestry unit, a utility, and two
ambulances.
We provide fire protection for the town of Newmarket and EMS services for
the town's of Newmarket and Newfields.

Some of our rescue equipment includes 4 ice/ cold water rescue suits, a
Scott thermal imaging camera,
Holmatro extrication equipment, and 2 full range gas meters. Engine 1
is equipped with BLS medical supplies, oxygen, collars, and splints, as
well as long and short boards to facilitate patient care if necessary
prior to the arrival of an ambulance. |

service is backed up by
Exeter ALS
Paramedics out of Exeter Hospital.

Newmarket Fire & Rescue
responded to 1020 calls in 2006,
up from 836 in 2005.

If you have the desire to serve your community and
the time and dedication it takes to be a volunteer Firefighter or EMT, we are
always looking for new members. We will provide all the training you need to
become state certified, whether you want to be a Firefighter, an EMT, or both.
We also provide you with the equipment and resources you need to succeed in your
new position.
